I use CamStudio.
It's free and easy to use. Everything you need to do is start recording to minimize the system tray and hides, and you can start tutorials. It is with mouse gestures, voice, notes, screen and convert them to Flash compatible, if you wanted too.
As I said a free software to their large and I do not see why I want nothing more.
Then, as the tutorial, you can crop and effects with the Windows Movie Maker. You can also use files in various formats and opening files in Windows Movie Maker.

Windows Movie Maker is used. So many people use screen recorder. A very good Camtasia, a screen, the recorder and video editor is very good, but costs a bit. They should screen recorder to Google, it will not much has changed.
